Marinette County Elderly Services is a non-profit 501(c) (3) that provides community programs to elderly in Marinette County, WI. Their central mission is to assist older persons in maintaining a longer, healthier and more fulfilled life.

Funded Program

Home Delivered Meals

The Home Delivered Meals Program provides homebound seniors with homemade, nutritious meals that provide one-third of their recommended daily nutrition requirements. The funding will also help with needed kitchen updates to the centralized kitchen in Crivitz to ensure the highest level of food safety and sanitation. This kitchen provides all the Home Delivered Meals for Crivitz, Pound, Coleman, Wausaukee, Athelstane, Amberg, Porterfield, Peshtigo, Marinette, and Mountain areas.  The Home Delivered Meal Program assists seniors in maintaining a longer, healthier, and more fulfilled life by providing nutritious, home-cooked meals delivered to their door. The program is credited for allowing seniors to remain living in their own home where they choose, versus the need for an assisted living facility or a nursing home.  Our Home Delivered Meals Assessment includes identification of Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, which helps in understanding an individual's overall needs and refer them to additional internal and external resources as appropriate.
