ALICE, an acronym which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, is a way of defining our families, neighbors, and colleagues who work hard, earn above the federal poverty level, but not enough to afford a basic household budget.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to those who generally make $57,000 or less who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Our VITA program partners with NWTC in Marinette and utilizes IRS-certified volunteers that provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

If your household earned less than $66,000, you can file both your federal and state returns for free using MyFreeTaxes.com. This is the only free, national, online tax filing product offered by a nonprofit. United Way has made it available to over 100 million U.S. taxpayers as part of our fight for the financial stability of every person in every community.
