Basic Needs
Since October 1918, and in the spirit of Love and Justice, the St Joseph Conference - Marinette of Society of St Vincent de Paul has provided person to person service of time, talent, and resources to help our neighbors in need with their basic needs. SJC-SSVdP provides nondiscriminatory assistance to residents with basic needs, offering services & referrals that address social, physical, mental/emotional, & spiritual well-being – without regard for race/ethnicity, gender, ability.
Community Impact
Target Population: The local population living below poverty line, which disproportionately affects families with children, especially single parent households.
Number of Individuals Served: 541
Desired outcomes include a reduced volume of individual and family helpline calls over time, decreased reliance on emergency shelter through coordinated use of community resources, expanded access to permanent, affordable housing, and enhanced financial stability and family functioning through employment and collaboration with community partners.
